Silvia Ehnis Perez Duarte, Mijin Kim and Seulki Hwang (Mexico and South Korea) dance, perform and choreograph for the young, up-and-coming company Tacho Tinta. They impress with their fine sense for social structures, strong stage presence and expertise in cultural misunderstandings, which could be seen most recently in the piece "Cultural Drag" - stereotyping oneself as a subversive strategy. “Commonorm" is also about physicality and storytelling from a transcultural perspective. The insight into their research shows how a playful approach to everyday hurdles and misunderstandings grows in the fusion with the performers’ art into a production that could sharpen and revitalize our consciousness.
The journalist Dorte Eilers invites the artists to talk.
