The CircusDanceFestival is a festival for Contemporary Circus and Dance in Cologne. Once a year, the LATIBUL grounds and the adjacent meadow by the Rhine transform into a wonderful festival site with performances, concerts, discussions, film evenings, and DJs. International artists and groups from across Europe are our guests.
We are looking for people who can offer our international guests a cozy home and a warm welcome here in Cologne. Do you have a free room, will you not be in Cologne over Pentecost, and would you like to make an artist’s stay in Cologne extra special? Then please get in touch!
You’ll get a unique insight into the festival and meet exciting people from all over Europe.

The guests will stay for 2 – 3 nights. The care of the artists will be handled by the festival. As a festival, we naturally also value cleanliness and hygiene and will ensure that the artists' accommodations are returned to you in clean condition.
Let us know briefly what you can offer, how long you would like to host someone, where you live, and how we can contact you. Our gratitude is assured, and we will thank you with two free tickets per guest for a show of your choice and two free drinks.

Call for Volunteers CDF 2025
The current version of the CircusDanceFestival will take place from 6 - 8 of June 2025. On the site of the old outdoor swimming pool in Cologne Riehl and the LATIBUL, we are creating a fantastic festival venue with three days full of contemporary circus and dance, concerts, discussions, DJs and movie nights. There is a lot of outdoor programming and some performances in the beautiful circus tents of LATIBUL.
In order to make the festival possible, we are looking for volunteers to help on site, before the opening with the set-up, during the festival in the shift team for the bar, the support of the artists or at the box office and at the entrance and/or to help with the dismantling in the days after the festival. We are also looking for motivated people for the individual areas who have time over the entire festival period and would like to take over shift management. As part of the team, you will get an insight behind the scenes of the festival and the opportunity to be there up close.
Specifically, we are looking for support for the following periods:
Built up weekend: 31 May & 1 June
Set-up: 3 - 6 June
Festival: 6 - 8 June
Dismantling: 9 June
Ideally, you will have at least 2-3 days to participate in the festival, but you are welcome to work for several days or for the entire period.
Together with the entire festival team and the artists, you will be provided with food and drinks by our catering service backstage during your assignments. In addition, you will get free access to at least one of the paid performances by arrangement and are of course invited to take part in the rest of the festival, such as the discussion programme, the workshops or the concerts and parties! If you come from abroad and need a place to stay we can offer you accomodation in one of the circus wagons on the beautiful and green festival site.

Here you can provide some information about yourself and also indicate whether you would like to contribute specific skills (e.g. for woodwork, set-up, design, bar & catering, etc.) or which area you are particularly interested in and on which days you will be there.
