CIRCUS-DANCE CREATION LAB ESAC BRUSSELS, ZZT COLOGNE

Live Performance

Tip! Can be combined well with the performance “CHINA SERIES” of Julian Vogel and the evening performance at 8 pm.

The university cooperation initiated by the CircusDanceFestival invites students from the ZZT, Centre for Contemporary Dance Cologne, and the circus school ESAC, Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque in Brussels, to a create a laboratory. For three weeks, students from both universities will work together artistically. The project takes place under the artistic direction of the multidisciplinary artist Breno Caetano. He draws on a wealth of experience in dance and circus and, together with the students, embarks on a search for artistic interfaces and personal thought spaces. How do we communicate and how do we live together? Based on a common understanding of togetherness, the individual is celebrated, imagined, invented and staged together in a pleasurable way.

Follow-up talk: June 3rd with Vera Sander (direction ZZT), Reynaldo Ramperssad (direction ESAC), Breno Caetano and students, moderated by Tim Behren (direction CDF)

A cooperation between Zentrum für Zeitgenössischen Tanz an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque Brüssel | Initiated by CircusDanceFestival | Supported within the framework of the residency program of CircusDanceFestival | Choreographic direction Breno Caetano
