DEHORS EST BLANC Tumbleweed (BE)

Live Performance

Tip! Combines well with Laura Murphy’s performance “Contra”.

„Dehors est blanc“ shows the human being as a collection of forces in constant (im)balance. Inspired by an atmospheric and optical phenomenon called „whiteout“, which occurs during extreme weather conditions, the company Tumbleweed takes up that state in which the horizon and surroundings are indistinguishable – any sense of depth and direction in the body is lost.

For this purpose, Tumbleweed has developed a technical arrangement that puts the body in a fragile and temporary balance. In this arrangement, the dancer unfolds a radical and microscopic movement score while floating. The company shows a solo excerpt of “work-in-progress” from their current creation.
