„My Body is Your Body“ confronts the audience with their role as spectators, playfully questioning our view on bodies. In a bi-frontal arrangement – much like the “opposing benches” of British Parliament – visual axes, symmetries and spectatorship take on new meanings. People sit across from one another, observing the visitors on the opposite side, while being exposed to their gaze. What we consider to be objective might become changeable in the eyes of our counterparts.
In the space between, three acrobats push themselves to their physical limits, their daring power leaving the audience breathless. The performativity of bodies, hierarchies in human communication and fragile balance between care and clarity are constantly renegotiated.
