Tipp! Can be combined well in advance with Julian Vogels “CHINA SERIES” and afterwards with the film evening, which interprets the performance cinematically.

Layer by layer, in the process of shedding its skin, the performance „Sorry… But I feel Slightly Disidentified“ draws a portrait of a supposedly generic female figure on her way towards unattainable social assimilation.

A silhouette under colorful fabrics and a rhythm give the first impulses, which then make the emerging body tremble in as many tones as stereotypes exist.. Choreographer Benjamin Kahn develops an edgy and highly physical journey for and with performer Cherish Menzo: A perception ride that becomes a kaleidoscopic experience. Self-discovery and others’ perception come into conflict and raise questions about race, gender, sexuality, social class and culture. A performance that amazes and reflects at the same time.
