On the ground, in the air, explosive and contemplative with an audience seated all around: There is room for experiments and the handwriting by young artists in the intersection of circus and dance. The 360° shorts take place on the circular stage with an aerial truss, specially designed for the festival. As opener to this evening the multidisciplinary artist Zhao Kuan Ting plays with straps. His variety of movements encircles inner emotions in their endless metamorphosis: egg, larva, pupa, butterfly, egg and so on. Zhao Kuan Ting explores the healing of the soul - difficult to grasp in words, but perhaps an idea of it can be caught in the view of „Butterfly". The show continues playfully with excerpts from "Alter," the first co-creation of the acrobats Charlotte Le May and Verena Schneider. An intense physical performance unfolds as acrobatics meets dance. They offer a fine reflection of everyday performativity and productive (mis)understandings. Last, Ici'bas Company creates a battlefield of energetic runs, bouts of madness and creative impulses with a circle of artificial turf, a gas tank and three speakers. With a disarming simplicity, this couple invites us into a refreshing and serene bubble that they inhabit entirely and that will remain in our memories for a long time.
