The supporting film "ARTE Concert: Bastien Dausse & Julieta Salz" gives an insight into another gravity-defying work by circus artist Bastien Dausse, who is already been featured in this year's program as part of the Kick Off Weekend, the Festival Opening and in the amphitheater.
The main films are about meeting the characters by Martin Zimmerman. One of them is Mr. Skeleton, who is also the name giver for the film installation, which can be seen and visited throughout the festival in the installation tent. Selected episodes of “Mr. Skeleteon” and the film work "the visitors" lay the ground to encounter the human being behind the figures - Martin Zimmermann - in a conversation with the dramaturge and publicist Mirjam Hildbrand. As Zimmermann's productions are very inventive and show a large diversity, they withdraw themselves from usual classifications. Yet the circus plays an important role, right from the beginning of his journey: as a young artist he completed his circus training at the CNAC and became part of the famous production "Le Cri du Caméléon", which has inscribed itself in circus history. This evening gives a highly personal insight into the work of a contemporary clown.
