Mr. Skeleton" is a quirky collection of wonderfully funny moments without words in the format of 12 short films. Inspired by classic silent films, the individual stop-motion episodes follow a rock aesthetic and take a glance at present times with a wink. In his collaboration with Augustin Rebetz the multi-disciplinary artist Martin Zimmermann draws on choreography, set design, direction, and performance. Zimmermann embodies all the whimsical characters on screen himself: Malicious rogue or fearsome crook - on the run, as a farmer, doctor, gallery owner or bank robber. The most guileful of his figures, Mr. Skeleton, is always part of the action and game. With crushing vengeance and other nasty pleasures, of all people, it is always him: the worst of all, who has the last laugh. Come and enter this heartily dark chaos!
