What does it mean to look and be looked at? "The Duck Show Performance" is a show by interdisciplinary artist Marija Bransauskaitė, in which pond ducks unexpectedly become the center of attention. So far, Baranauskaitė has primarily explored artistically what it means to perform for non-human spectators - for example for objects such as sofas. "The Duck Show Performance" bravely expands this spectrum, as it is a show for humans. It encourages looking at the relationship between animals and humans with new eyes. The reasons for this decision and its post-human underpinnings are presented in a performative lecture that sets the framework for the excursion. The audience then embarks on a journey through the city to reach the stage of the actual performance. An extremely meaningful and appreciative preparation for the climax at the pond!
