At the end of the two-week research phase of the new series Circus Dance Practices #1: Experimenting, Exploring, Researching eight students from the Centre for Contemporary Dance (ZZT) will take to the streets of Cologne together with guest juggler Guillaume Martinet from the Compagnie Defracto.

After their work phase combining contemporary dance and juggling, they are now taking their research outside: movement material, rhythmic structures and the interplay between body and object enter into a dialogue with the urban environment and the people of the city.

This is a collaboration between the BA Dance program at the Centre for Contemporary Dance (ZZT) at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and the CircusDanceFestival | Facilitator Guillaume Martinet / Defracto | Concept and Idea: Tim Behren, Vera Sander
