Thematic Parcours: Circus & Dance

What are you in the mood for? To help you navigate the festival's many performances and events, we suggest thematic itineraries. These run like different paths through the entire program and help you set your own focus when visiting the festival. Or you can just go with the flow. Either way: See you soon in the city, in the circus tent or at the outdoor stages on the festival grounds by the Rhine!

Circus & Dance

The Circus & Dance Parcours leads to the heart of the festival – where contemporary circus and dance merge. Once again, renowned international artists will be guests this year, shaping this encounter between the arts. Alongside international highlights by XY, Jef Everaert & Marica Marinoni, and the Cologne based host company Overhead Project, a total of twelve short pieces will be presented on the 360° stage over the course of three evenings – a program of exciting new ideas on the ground and in the air. In the campus project Circus Dance Practices #1, students from the Cologne dance academy ZZT are working together with French juggler Guillaume Martinet (Compagnie DeFracto): The stage is set for the new generation of circus and dance artists!
