They fly and fall; they throw and catch each other. In an infinite variety of variations, people fly through the air, drift across the stage in large swarms, playing with light and shadow. Together, they spin a fascinating, lyrical, rhythmically structured web of spectacular aerial acrobatics and dance-like grace. Acrobatics as if in infinite space. It fills and empties at the same time and has an electrifying effect when actions unfold like a chain reaction. Nature, culture, body and spirit interact to create a responsive and sensory playing field.
The acrobats of Collectif XY are one of the largest collectives of France's “Nouveau Cirque”. They engaged choreographer Rachid Ouramdane for “Möbius”.
