“Tu sens la terre bouger? A Celebration” creates a balancing sculpture in front of our eyes, little by little transforming into a complex human mobile. At its center is a seesaw. A dance of small balancing movements becomes the starting point for this show. But the performers want more. For their increasingly complex game of Mikado, they need the counterweight of the audience.
Between floating beams, two musicians and four circus artists from Cirque Barbette take us on a journey through intimate moments, paradoxical movement patterns and a finely calibrated play with balance.
The Belgian company writes a contemporary homage to Alexander Calder's mobiles that invites audience participation. Only through us does this piece remain in balance, and mutual trust becomes a safety net.
