The CircusDanceFestival initiates interdisciplinary exchange and creation projects between European dance and circus universities. Each university invites students from the other to spend a week in its building. Here, the students explore the other study context and develop a joint piece, which they then perform as part of the festival program. The CreationLab is led by multidisciplinary artist Breno Caetano.
You can find some recordings from this area in the University Cooperations section of CDFthek.

In this fourth edition of the CircusDance CreationLab, the focus is on the physical encounter of bodies: human, material, planet. Special attention is paid to the element of water, fluid states and movements that make changes of these states perceptible. Breno Caetano is known worldwide for highly physical, humorous, and visual creations with proximity to the visual arts in circus and dance. Under his artistic guidance, we can expect an inter-media production with a lot of fresh wind and pulsating energy from the future generation of circus and dance artists. A collective memory of a different kind, not to be missed!
