IFC
Initiative Feministischer Circus

The Initiative Feminist Circus was founded in early 2022 with the aim of exposing discriminatory and sexist mechanisms in the German circus scene and creating a framework to counteract them. Discrimination in the circus scene is an issue that many people in the German-speaking circus scene notice: From parenthood as an artist, (gender) roles on stage, to fairness in circus festivals and schools. With an intersectional self-image, IfC offers an open platform for exchange and participation. The CircusDanceFestival has been interested in the work of the IfC since its foundation and supports it.
