Dear guests of the CircusDanceFestival,
More than ten years ago, Cologne-based artists set out to establish the new circus as an interdisciplinary and contemporary art form in Germany. Since then, Cologne has become one of the hubs for the renewal of the circus genre! Progressive and experimental circus forms from a new generation of local circus creators are now among the most innovative stage productions in the performing arts.
Among the key contributors to this development is undoubtedly the CircusDanceFestival, initiated by the Cologne group Overhead Project. Through the unique combination of contemporary circus and dance, the festival has already garnered significant attention in the sixth year, presenting visitors with innovative stage art.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the festival organizers for their great dedication and passionate realization of this extraordinary cultural event. I wish you an inspiring and eventful festival experience!
